happy anniversary @ 11:08 PM

hubhub, happy 31st month anniversary!!
are we loving? i guess we are. how long more? i don't know. hahah... pictures from recent weeks. too many. shall post the nice ones. usual way of celebration. EAT. venue was pasta de waraku at Marina Square. food was not bad. La Pausa in Japan served nicer ones though. dessert (waraku) there was good.. then remembering we had to catch Golden Path's last episode, we walked a while more. but we went into this shop. each bought a top. i bought a dress too. for chinese new year. design? GoLd & ReD. best liao larh. dear's valentine's day present gao dim. now only left with the handicraft part. he wanted to buy a handphone for me... but the way he asked made me suspicious. hahah... i don't want him to buy it too. too ex. i can buy it much cheaper in july when my contract ends. i want nokia 6500. the non-flip phone. looks sleek & nice. =) erm i would prefer jinlong to shoot kaijie to death in the last episode. i say kaijie died because the guy who killed him was just a robber. but daryl says the guy was instigated by lin fei. which is which?? ps? xuemin? help me with it. haha.

carefree pukey togress @ 1:52 PM

this is my 800th post for this blog of mine!!! :) accompanied me for 5 years already!!

let's see what had happened this week so far.

saturday - the world was spinning for me. because i went dbl o! dear went for his popo's birthday celebration. seems like many ppl's grandparents' birthdays fall in january. my grandpa's too! dbl o was quite a last minute decision. usual company not going. only me, lennart, daryl and george. met george's gf elaine there too. there her friend juline. i dunno how to spell. mood was quite dampened initially because there was this asshole who puked near the bar and d' & i were waiting for our drinks. damn it. dirtied my dress and my legs and hand kena. %$%@!@#$$%%$@@ another girl from another group got it too. all of us kena but didn't know who puked. sneaky asshole. near the toilet i saw this fat guy who looked very drunk. i thought he would go in to puke. when i left the toilet going back to dancefloor i saw this guy running towards toilet again. really look like he was about to puke. i was v mad when i saw it. because, YOU WANNA PUKE YOU STAY IN TOILET. or at least puke somewhere whereby you won't dirty others!! wanna puke then don't go back into the dancefloor. tmd

before lennart reached we tried to dance. but haha. everyone was like zombie. i dunno how to describe. i couldn't take it so after first bacardi, i went for my tequila. i wanna dance but i can't without drinking first. then the guys arrived. saw chris' friend too. she was with her friends. one of them puked right in front of the bar. woo. anyway, george's gf was cool. haha and fun to be with. i was giddy after the shot. dance dance dance. more sips from jugs. then danced again near the bar. haha the 3 girls including me were quite wild. hahah... danced like nobody's business. but once in a while i'll turn and look around. i think people were staring but who cares. daryl told george they can't put us 3 together. hmmm. 2 more shots. downed them very quickly. the girls drank the most. hahah. lennart wanted his shot but found that all 10 were gone. i knew george was laughing at me. BECAUSE I WAS LAUGHING LIKE AN IDIOT. my 'hahahhah' then a pause. then 'hahahhah' again. it kept going on. i dunno larh. i just like to laugh. dear found me kinda stupid and amusing. because he wasn't even talking to me or telling me a joke.

super giddy. music didn't help. couldn't stand. i don't even know i managed to go toilet. couldn't walk down the stairs of dbl o. first time larh! i couldn't even sit up straight at the fountain area. puked. only the alcohol. no food. because i didn't eat much for dinner. puked and cried. cos i felt very useless. dear went to get car because i couldn't stand. puked few more times. i thought my body had purged all the tequila. but guess what, up on the flyover at holland, i asked d' to stop. i opened car door and puked. hahahha. shit. right on the road. still alcohol only. reached home. puked at carpark again. giddy like shit. i told myself maybe i should quit clubbing. went up home. dear made milo. drank a bit and tada! out it came after a while. bathed at 5am because my sis kept annoying me.

isn't it powerful? i woke up at 12+ in the noon. opened my eyes and things were still spinning!!! bahhh. but after i woke up. guess what. i'm not going to quit clubbing after all. hahahha. but that was a really bad experience. drank not as much as usual. but drank too fast on empty stomach... NO GOOD. dear went thru 2 roadblocks. they saw me K.O-ed. but dear driving fine. so no problem. only way to repay him was to wash his *ang zang gui* swift sport on sunday. took us super long. his car. i dunno why on earth is his car always so dirty and difficult to wash.

tuesday was when i started watching the japanese 花より男子. F4. haha once again. i was hooked onto this drama. then for the next few days i keep watching the dvd late into the night. 3am? the late nights got me. now i'm feeling sick. i finally finished it today.. like an hour ago. i love the show. very very similar to the original anime. even though they changed it slightly, they did it very well... i like the doumyouji. but i like hanazawa rui more! so tall.. like prince charming... but doumyouji always has this charm... violent but super caring and loving to the one he loves most. wonderful ending to this drama.

as for wednesday, i gave daryl's family a treat at margarita's at dempsey road. i was really happy to see my ex-colleagues and boss. i think they were too to see me. haha.. food was wonderful... within my budget. carol gave me a discount again.. so nice of her... everyone said i grew fatter. haha i know.. die larh. talked to carol... she showed me the changes made in the restaurant. i was sitting at the table but suddenly felt very bored by the things their family was saying. jobs and bla bla bla. i needed a breather. so i went to look for carol. sat by the bar... had a drink... from rommel! our bartender. i really miss working at Marg... i love the place.. somehow, everyone said that was my future-father-in-law sitting there... i just shrugged. i dunno what to say... and i'm not too why i felt that way... confused. anyway, saw my kitchen crew!! yah yah. all said i grew fat. bahh. hahah good to see them again.... service standard at margarita's has definitely improved. It's always a good place to dine in. :) dear let me drive back. hehe.. i'm getting all the practice i need. Ann has gotten her license too!! we're the lucky ones. with standard okay~~ hoho... pass upon first try.

the new year has begun. dear has been fetching me from school and sending me to school. haha waste of petrol? nonono... that's his responsibility... because i'm paying for our dating from now on... he's giving me 40 bucks ez link card in return. hehe because i'll be helping him to get his monthly park and ride coupon. last night's dinner was good. i had a very pleasant time with my dear. he'll know. funny american idol =)

japan trip day 8 @ 2:20 PM

the story continues.. day eight

sapporo was a city basically very much similar to tokyo. except that it was snowing and snowing. and extremely cold. all the places that websites recommended were almost covered by the 3rd day we were there. half of the 'attractions' are actually shopping malls.. we thought we would skip them totally. because we only love robinson's basement. haha FOOD! anyway, we had our brunch. curry rice again! haha.. i had this cheese curry katsu. very nice. i tried wearing short skirt and high socks and my boots for the lower body that day. i almost wanted to give up once i walked 15 metres out from the hotel... wanted to experience the cold. i was at least wearing stockings in tokyo lor. high socks in sapporo totally CMI. my legs were *injured*. froze bites... just a 10cm or below gap exposed and tada. we really took our time to stroll on this day. we went to tanukikoji arcade.. went into the game arcade and played games. haha house of the dead. looking back now, we felt totally carefree during those days... we were in our own world. nobody knew who we are. we were happy in that city and just did what we enjoy or what we felt like doing at that particular moment. saw the same marion crepe stall! wanted to east but goodness me. it was really too cold to eat crepes... and the rice serving for lunch was insane. made us too full to eat anything else. haha. we walked past the DRUG STORE again. i went in. what do you expect? of course spent money again.. you see, who can resist all those japanese kose facial masks, facial foam, cosmetics, make-up removal oil? paid and felt super guilty and bad. the pics showed just like 1/4 of the amount of cosmetics there. then we went into this store selling nice clothes. i spent way too much and all i bought for dear was boxers. he wanted nothing... so i had to ask him to get smth. so after much consideration and persuasion, dear bought a jacket. ard 50 bucks? it looked good on him. he has this thing for leather jackets. haha it's not those bikers jacket. i think he liked those too in the past. chow ah beng. =P anyway, he bought a suit kinda leather jacket.

we went to marui imai, a shopping centre to look for a blue label burberry bag for his colleague. it was here that we FINALLY found THE blue label shop... it's good if you know how to speak a little bit of jap. the salesgirls will at least know what you want and it's easier to get their attention too. i thought that was how we managed to buy the bag before other singapore aunties who were there snatching burberry bags too. haha.the salesgirl was so nice... i myself bought a wallet! i thought i wouldn't buy anything... dear bought it for me as x'mas gift. SGD $315... bahh. but it's really nice.
a coffee break at starbucks helped to energize us both. what energized him more was a nissan showroom where he saw nissan GTR. hmm... think that was his happiest moment the whole of that day. how about mine? i think it was when i walked into the handphone shop in the underground shopping mall, pretending to look at handphones and then took all 3 booklets with takuya on them! he was advertising for these 3 phone models for DoCoMo. super happy. you get his posters just like that. they sell it for what 10 over bucks for those kinda advert posters. what was for dinner? Robinson's basement!! we went to buy the food back to our hotel room... salmon, grilled chicken, tofu, my fish, snacks, coffee, pudding. my usual practice. my buys for the day! and here are all my facial products and cosmetics gains from this japan trip! and what we bought in all!
on our way, we saw tourist from singapore too. distinctive spoken english. haha. we saw how they were being rushed by the tour guide. at that instant, i felt really glad i was there on a free & easy trip. after so many F&E trips, i don't think i will wanna go on packaged tours in the future..

day nine.. @ 2:16 PM

day nine!! another relaxing day. we woke up.. walked through tanukikoji arcade to get to nijo market. tanukikoji uses bears & a cat animal to be their symbol... saw seafood of all kinds.. haha eye-opener... big big crabs... prices range from 40 bucks to 100 over. there's this particular shop. the ojisan really know how to do business. praise me for my japanese.. let me taste the crab... (i had to use snow to wash my fishy fingers after that. haha) i told him we would return the next day. but guess what. we returned that very evening to buy. and prices dropped already!

on our way to find the very-difficult-to-find-bus-terminal, we saw this nice statue....

even japanese don't know where is the terminal!! haha. i tried asking... good thing there was this really helpful japanese lady who helped us. we took a 1hr bus ride to a hotel in the mountainous area. our hot spring trip!! very expensive bus ride. think 13 or 15 bucks per person. return trip cost the same. one slept on the bus. one took many many snowy pictures on the way. the hot spring was wonderful. 40 min but quite ex. you can't soak in there for too long too! i got dizzy spells. haha so did daryl. we felt so sleepy after the hot spring. minds & bodies totally relaxed. the wind was strong...the snow flakes flying in... and there you are in a hot tub. feeling was indescribable...

wanted to chill our drink. is there any other way better than this?? simply leave it on a pile of snow......slept like a log back to odori on the bus. we were starving.. we bought our crab!! the nice uncle cut it up with scissors... so nicely... this is the nice uncle!! =) bringing our crab, we wanted dinner, so back to ramen yokocho again! new stall this time round. chasho ramen, anyone? very tasty!we shopped around holding the crab for hours. hahaha.... won't spoil. cos it's like refrigerated even when we're outside. went to all the other shopping malls in our itinerary.. not because we wanted to walk around. because we went to search for all other blue label boutiques!! hehe... daimaru was our final stop. and i had one more burberry item to my collection! a gift to myself... a bag. like it a lot. it's more subtle. the design is not all over the place... more like my style as well. =) happie happie!we stinked our room with crab and beer. haha...bought more food stuff from Robinsons. i watched SMAP on tv for 2 hours plus. bought a magazine with them on the cover the night before too. quite cheap. all major mags had them on the cover. i only chose one... anyway, that was how we spent the last night in sapporo...

the next morning, we left our luggages (a lot) at the hotel for an hour after we checked out. i didn't want to leave for the airport right away.. so we went to have macs breakfast and went to daiso for more protection films for my camera and handphones... only SGD 1.30 over there.. you get them here for 6 or 8 bucks. took one last look at sapporo and we went to 'war'....... to squeeze and rush for trains with many many other people when we had so many bags and luggage to bring along...... waited for 2 hours at narita airport and touched down in singapore only at 12.15pm... one whole day on trains & planes.... ears hurt for both flights. &^#@!$

anyway, goodbye JAPAN!! i'll be back in 2 years' time :)

japan trip day 5! @ 2:55 PM

last day in tokyo. travelled to all the remaining places. left hotel early & had our soba! from the same shop selling our fav katsudon. that's japan's train ticket.went to the popular sensoji temple in asakusa. lots of souvenirs at nakamise..dear had been there b4. so the visit was more for me. turned out to be quite a nice experience!! the japanese were getting the smoke in their faces to get good luck i suppose. i decided to have fun and give it a try... OKAY. that's way too much smoke in the face.we moved on to omotesando hills (resembles orchard!) area to find burberry bag. d's colleague asked us to help her buy..but couldn't find lehh. we had lunch there before going to Meiji Shrine which we missed out the other day. i'll always remember the powerful coke float. that meal was awesome... :) meiji shrine was this totally different place from harajuku althou' they're only one street apart. it's totally relaxing and calm while taking a long long walk before we reach the shrine itself.tossed the coin and prayed at sensoji. here at meiji shrine i paid for a prayer tag. write my wish on it and hung it. all these tags will go thru a prayer session by priests.we crossed the street & visited nice harajuku again. 2nd round of crepes! love the crepes in japan!! this time from another shop. bought takuya's calendar & SMAP notebook. hee. NEXT! we went to tokyo tower!! all the transfer of trains got us. i was walking and grumbling a little because daryl walked too fast. and when i looked up, i was stunned. the tower was ahead of me and so high up. it's really beautiful...we went up to the main observatory floor. dear did not want to go up to the top (special observatory), so i paid for another tic and went up alone. 250m high up. BEAUTIFUL LARH! i just don't want to have any regret that will haunt my mind. like 'i never go up to the top... how come arh?'. yup. so future tokyo trips will not have tokyo tower anymore. unless my kids wanna go up there~nice x'mas tree at the entrance of the tower building! we rushed to yebisu garden place. i missed out the word 'place' and daryl brought me to this really ulu ulu "yebisu garden". disappointed lehhh. definitely wrong yet couldn't find. asked an uncle but he kept asking me qns in japanese. after a while he realised i'm not a japanese, then he started to tell us he dunno where's the place too.. he told me and d' i really look like a japanese. hahha..went to yebisu station and saw this miserable little garden lookalike thing. yup, this: dear looked at me in disbelief. he went "THIS IS YOUR GARDEN PLACE AH?" bahhh.. NO larh! but still couldn't find. i remembered the place was much much much nicer! no choice we went to a shopping complex. but guess what. that was where i saw "yebisu garden place skywalk". i knew it!! i knew all those were not the right place. so i showed d' my victory face. hahah. the place was truly romantic and beautiful. wind was too strong thou. so you see, tiring day right? but we reached hotel area quite early. so supper again!! macs.our mega tamago set meal. haha.. then as usual the spoils. those cosmetics were my victory!! mostly by shiseido. souvenirs and our matching cups from asakusa! byebye tokyo!

day SIX in japan. SAPPORO! @ 2:53 PM

i couldn't bear to leave tokyo. such a fun place. we each had another hand carry bag full of stuff when we left for sapporo. my own luggage went from half-filled to FULL too. dear had to use his luggage to contain his gundam and use his other bag to put his own clothes. we left early in the morning. 5 days in the small hotel. friendly staff. time passed too fast! at the train station i really got nervous. so many people rushing towards and behind you. and we had really heavy bags. no escalator. BAMM! die. we *lug-ed* the luggages n bags up. feel like dying man. we perspired that day. haha. too many things to carry until i forgot to take my punched ticket. had to pay extra to get out at the next station... didn't know we're required to check in for domestic flights like only 20 min before. so we ended up having a long lunch break at narita. my spagetti looked so-so but it was much better than dear's curry katsudon. don't ask me how many curry katsu he had in japan. i've lost count. that meal was ex. if only we had known earlier that the departure hall has cheaper food..the flight was horrible. awful landing i would say. 1 & a half hr flight. my ear experienced nasty pain 25 min before landing. so painful i just teared non-stop. oh man. but what i saw after landing helped! lots of snow~~we talked with 'smoke' coming out of our mouths. our breath is sooo hot. haha. that's the station near our marksinn sapporo hotel. small room. did i mention both hotel toilets had small bath tubs. i enjoyed taking hot baths!! my water was like 45 degree. hahah... we checked in and took a rest. it was 2 hours later that we went for dinner and took a good look at sapporo city! totally fascinated by the snow on the roads... we were always near falling and slipping on their roads. we went to look for ramen yokocho, this famous street full of ramen shops and nothing else! our choice was rairai-ken. it was also at ramen yokocho that i see falling snow for the very first time in my life... kirei naa~~~!! i was sitting just beside takuya (on the poster..) haha... shingo patronized the shop before..sorimachi loves the shop! weather was so cold my camera began to mist up in the warm ramen shop. boss was nice. so was the lady with him. we chatted. his ramen was very nice...my butter corn ramen was yummy! he said my japanese was good. hahaha... happie happie. they told us to go Odori Park because it's having their white illumination now. we planned to go the next day but as we had time, we walked and went to robinsons. i love their basement. lots of food!! big crabs... nice drinks... nice japanese food. we bought some beer and pudding and wanted to go back but we actually ventured into odori park area that night. another romantic place!! but dear and i was sniffing away. TOO COLD!! like -1degree? once i reached sapporo, the tokyo thermometer keychain i had stopped working! cos it could not reflect the low temp at all. lowest scale was 12. haha. had to run into 7-eleven to prevent ourselves from dying from the cold. hot coffee turned cold. our beer was chilled after we resumed our phototaking. we spent an hr plus there and i took over 100 pictures. we bought mcdonald's McPork burger! haha where else have you seen mcdonald's selling pork? in the room, i ate my nice peach pudding & dear had his sapporo beer! super chilled one. haha. he played his gundam.. both were geared up for the next day of fun!!

day 7.. my favourite day in SappORo @ 2:40 PM

we went to 3 places on this day. very well-organized i would say. first, we had very very cheap breakfast at lotteria. fast food. yummy ebi (prawn) burger for me. we went to look at the clock tower which has a very long history in sapporo. did not enter because the entrance fee was not cheap. but it was really nice... white tower in the city of snow.. white winter and white christmas for me! so we moved on to shiroi koibito park to visit the chocolate butter cookie factory! travelled to miyanosawa station and began our search for the factory. guys i tell you, you will all love the park. nice chocolate smell. lovely building with cute little houses, cottages, bridge etc etc. and the best was... it started to snow really heavily when we were there! my heart melted... so good to be at that place at that time with my special someone... the cookies were sold out. apparently sold out everyday. open at 9am. sold out at 9.30am. EVERYDAY. bahhh. here's my sulk. just started to snow when sulking pic was taken. it snowed heavily for the next few minutes. check the 2nd picture. not sure if the picture could show the extent. here's a joke. it was snowing a little at first. i saw the sky slightly dark. so i got panicked. i asked daryl, "dear! is it going to rain?". wahbiang. ask already immediately felt like idiot. hahahha... already snowing... i knew it. but too used to seeing rain....silly silly.

next was our last station for the day; SAPPoRo BeeR MuseUm! saw the exhibits. the history of beer brewery in japan, dear & i also went for beer tasting. haha... small glass each. had a short break over some beer & snacks. even museum we also shopped. we bought few boxes of royce chocolates & other snacks...then tada! it was our good dinner at bier garten. i thought they spelt wrongly... dumbass me. mongolian bbq. japanese are really smart & provide really good service. they gave us plastic bags to put our jackets and bags so they will not have the bbq smell after our meals. we had lamb.... veggie.... crab (2 of the legs). quite fun.. food was good. we enjoyed it :)

went into this shopping mall after dinner. i bought another pair of knee-length socks & jewels for my handphone. then dear & i went to archade. on our way to subway station, we went daiso again. hohoho. this time round we bought very very practical stuffs. we had SD cardholder, handphone & camera protection films and some facial products.. back in our hotel room, i was busy taking photos while dear was busy opening new boxes of snacks we bought in tokyo... he was TRYING TO HELP US CLEAR SOME LOAD. hor?

NEW BEGINNING @ 2:37 PM

new year's eve was spent at rongyao's place this time round with rongyao, bryan, ann, ryan, mervyl & daryl. there were pasta, salad, ham, lamb, curry chicken, garlic bread, fishcake, cupcakes, dessert, wine bla bla bla. haha sinful!! we play super munchkins for 2 hours plus and that was how we spent new yr's eve. daryl let me drive back that night. road block & jam. WONDERFUL experience. he's nice. because he let me drive! may the new year be goodie good for us both! he gets another pay raise while i survive NIE with no sweat i hope!! it's going to be orientation talks and games till next monday for me at NIE. but i hear how the lecturers speak i am scared already~ give me a good timetable pleaseeeee.. anyway, :) those are the first batch of 2008 photos~*
